I'm having a problem with my (rather old v3.6.3.2) DotNetNuke portal site.

I have several sites up and running, but one of them will no longer load, and for the life of me I can't seem to discover what's changed, or been altered to cause this behavior.  It was running fine on Tuesday night, but at some point on Wednesday it stopped.

All of the sites are set up to point to "www.sitename.com/dnn"

However the sites that are working, and the one that isn't display a different URL after the redirect script runs.

The site(s) that continue to work:

http://www.myworkingsite.com/dnn

The site that seems to have vanished:

http://www.myothersite.com/dnn/Home/tabid/145/Default.aspx

Does anyone have any idea where that resulting url is controlled?  One of the database tables perhaps?  Every entry where I thought it would be, is referenced identically as in:

http://www.domainname.ext/dnn

I altered the redirection script, and when I change the redirect from this site, to another, the other site comes up, so I'm fairly confident the redirection is working ok.

Thanks in advance!!

-Bill

  • Which version are you actually running - latest DNN 3 has been 3.3.7
  • how do you point multiple portals to the same domain address - and why?
  • what has been changed just before the issue occurred?
  • did you already try to restart IIS/app pool or application?

Nevermind... I found it... One of the new Admin users made all the pages private, so there was no place to be directed to... thankfully in DNN we have the Host portal!!
