I am not sure that this is the right forum to post this in.

I upgraded to 5.1 from 5.01 and it has been running for a few days now with no problems.  I logged out of my account so I can log in as host.  The logout seems never to have completed.

Ever since this event, whenever I go to the site I get Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.  I get this from the server itself as well as from remote.  There are no errors that display on the screen.  Nothing on the site seems to work.  I have copied the entire DNN 5.1 install over the installation and I get the same thing.

If I rename Default.aspx I get an error that there is no default page configured and If i take out the password to the DB in the web config I get an error.

Any idea what went wrong?

No ideas?

This seems to be a local network problem as it works outside of my network.  Any one have any ideas on what to look for?  Like I said above, this happened immediatly after a logoff of the site.  It "hung" on the logoff.  I shut the browser down and then it was in this state.

I get the same problem.  My site is externally hosted.  I also get the same error page when trying to add new pages.

if you upgraded by uploading all files from install package (instead of upgrade) you need to restore your original web.config file.

The web.config is fine for me.  If I rename the web.config file,  I get an actual error.

Some more information.  This has to do with the default page only it seems (example: http://xxx.xxx).  I can go directly to the logon page (example: http://xxx.xxx/Home/tabid/38/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fDefault.aspx), it will come up and I can log on.  If I check remember me, I can go to the same link that did not work before, and it works.

It seems to happen wether I am on the lcoal network or outside.  If the user is not logged in, the main page does not come up.  If they are logged in, it comes up fine.  If I send a user the entire URL to the actual logon page, it will work, they can logon and click remember me, and no problems from there.

This happened with DNN 5.1.  I previously had 5.01 and this did not happen.
