I added BusinessName as a profile property for a Portal and I imported a bunch of users from a legacy system.  When I search for a user using the user manager, i can search by Business Name but I cannot see the business name in the results of the search.  I can see First Name, Last Name, email etc, but I cannot configure DNN to show Business Name in the results which makes it difficult to find a business.

Should DNN not have Business Name as a default profile property?  This is a product aimed at the Business world after all.  Or perhaps we should be able to choose what profile property we want  displayed in user search results.

Seems like a simple question, but it presents a barrier when trying to sell this solution.  Does anybody have a suggestion on how I could overcome this?

Should I submit this to Gemini?

Mike

I am answering my own question.  I can use Display Name for the Business Name, I should be able to use localization settings to change the word Display Name to Company Name.

I still think it would be wise to have Business or Company name as a default profile property.
