I saw another post that the current module will not allow user defind attributes, but would in a later release.  I don't seem to see that logged, so I was wondering if it is still on the table or if I missed how to create them.

Thanks

Mark

Could you explain a little bit more on what you're looking for? The current Repository module does allow attributes to be added and has since its release as a DNN project unless I'm misunderstanding what you're looking for. Attributes are covered in the documentation which you can download from the Project downloads section.

Thanks!  I thought it might allow for additional attributes, but I didn't see how to add them.  All of the examples, basically use the same attributes.

What I am looking for is a user defined form for collection of information.

  1. Program
  2. Description
  3. Contact Name
  4. Contact Phone Number
  5. Web Site
  6. ...

I don't want to use a free form RTF field for the collection as I want the information uniform.

Did I miss this in the instructions?

Thanks,

Mark

Okay now I see what you're looking for. You could get most of it but I don't know if we could cover all of the fields you're looking for without changing the code behind and SQL tables and sprocs. What you can do is edit the form.resx file for the template you are using so that those fields match what you're looking for and also edit the template.html you're using as well.

IE: Using the Default template as an example.
Change the value for Title.Text to Program, Author.Text to Contact Name, etc.

Thanks - So, I was correct in that there is a fix number of elements we can have for the repository "fields", correct?  I guess I am really looking for a cross between the repository and a user defined table.

Thanks,

Mark
