I am trying a clean install of DNN 5.01 (not an upgrade) Community Version to a Win2K3 server against a MSSQL 2005 database on another server. I have several DNN 4.94 sites running on this server without incident.  The installation proceeds along until the database setup and then I receive this message:

Installing Database - Version 05.00.00...FAILURE 400 - The stored procedure 'dbo.UpdateDatabaseVersionAndName' doesn't exist.

This was a new, empty database.  Can't seem to get past this point. Looking at the database, nothing is being created.  Any clues?  Do I have to install 5.0 and upgrade from there?

v/r,

Jeff

Test the DNN user permissions in the database. So log in as that user and try to create a test table, do a select from it, create a test stored procedure and look for permission errors.

The database was not the problem in my scenario, but the dnn source files itself. I replaced them again and started from scratch and it worked. I guess my db settings where not oke.
