I am having a problem of recieiving the newsletter as the way its been sent. The recieved newsletter does not include any images that been inserted before sending.  Is there anyone encountered such problem?

Your help is highly appreciated

You need to set the full image path in the html file, like this - http://www.domain.com/portals/0/imagename.jpg for it to display when sent, since it does not use the full path.

Try that on one image, send it, see how it goes, I'm sure it will work.

Thanks, I really double checked what did you told me. I sent the following email:

<p>
An image from W3Schools:
<img src="http://www.w3schools.com/images/ie.gif" width="73" height="68">
</p>

<p><img src="http://localhost/DNN/Portals/0/images.jpg" alt="images.jpg" border="0" height="97" width="130"><br></p>

I recieved an email with one image "ie.gif" and the other one never showed. I right-clicked on them to show there properties. The first one shows the right link "http://www.w3schools.com/images/ie.gif " , whereas the another one shows different link " http://mail.yahoo.com/config/login?/Portals/0/images.jpg " ?!!

It seams that the image that inserted through DNN's newsletter has changed?!! I have no idea how does that happened is any one there got the same  problem?!!

  1. a link to localhost will never work from outside the computer, it was created, as it is a local address.
  2. depending on the HTML-Editor you use, the editor might automatically edit the link on saving the text. Please double check, that it contains absolute paths only (starting with http://) and does not contain relative links.
  3. If you want to send mime newsletters with images included in the mail and not referenced from an external server, you will need a 3rd party module.
