I have VSE 2008 installed on my Windows XP SP3 computer. The VSE 2008 was installed as an update of VSE 2005.

I have downloaded the VS 5.1.0 starter kit
I have installed the starter kit using the procedure in the “DotNetNuke Installation Guide” I downloaded from the Dot Net Nuke website. I notice it is dated June 20, 2006.
The guide on page 31 states:
“When you select OK a website will be created in the folder you selected, and the “welcome.html” File will automatically open in the Internal Browser.”

This did not happen. Where can I get instruction on what to do next?

I notice there is a DotNetNuke.zip file in the “My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\Project Templates\Visual Web Developer\” directory. There are also other zip files in various locations.

Please help

I have now resolved the problem. My error was to change the New Web Site Language to "Visual C#" after I had selected "DotNetNuke Web Application Framework" as the Template when it was showing "Visual Basic". I did not notice it deselect - if it did. So I recreated the website. Anyhow, I still run to other problems after I selected the "OK" option to upgrade target framework from .Net 2.0 to .Net3.5. Changing target framework back to 2.0 in the Buid property page did not resolve the problems.

So I created another "New Website" and everything worked fine this time.
