Hi Guys.

I'm currently using a couple of the forum add ons.  The largest issue I have is with regards the caching...mainly that the add on's don't update unless I restart the application.  This is simply not practicle and is quite a bit of a showstopper on a site based on a forum as large as mine.

So firstly, is there a fix for this?

Secondly, is there a third party module I can use in substitute of these addons?

Thirdly, will the new forum and subsequent addons have the same issues?

There are no Forum addons from Dotnetnuke Projects availible. The addons on dnnforums.com are 3rd party modules from the page owner.  Please visit www.dnnforums.com for support.

Yes true they are third party, however originally they were on here from memory.

Effectively I am wondering if anyone has come up with a reliable solution for this.  It seems crazy to have a forum without a reliable addon suite.

I see the AddOns as a personaly user Enhancement, and it isn't the task of the project team to make it. The Forum module is a big module with a lot of functions, and it needs all the time of the team members to solve issues and integreate new needed enhancements.

This is way I see that coding addons are on part of 3rd parity.
