To answer your question - you're right, it shouldn't matter and I'm working locally. After scouring the forums last night I noticed that many of the little quirky problems ended with a realization that the person was using the “Starter Kit”, as was I. I grabbed the source, used that and things seem to work fine now - I was having quite a few little quirky issues. You’re right, the double-slash generally doesn’t matter and probably wasn’t what was causing my problem. But it certainly goes on the list of oddities w/ the Starter Kit.

I do have a bevy of other skinning questions that have come up during my past few weeks of skin dev but I’m going to try playing with them again off of the source.
