Crispy I agree with locopan, it's clear enough.

The problem is, it doesn't work, I'm a developer myself and I know the frustration of someone telling me something does not work when it does, but it simply is not working, I spent more than 2 hours today just configuring my User Account, Host Settings, Portal Settings and Forum Settings and it simply does not work, the forum uses the server time no matter what I do, and it uses the Server time in every display, What's new, detail, list, even in the Notification Mail.

pstevens, it is obviously working because it does here. As a developer then you should clearly be able to see that is working on this site if you took the time to test.

I did take the time to test it Crispy, my current Time is 6:01 PM, my timezone is GMT+2, my account on this site is configured as GMT+2.

Similarly My Server is GMT-6, My Portal Timezone is GMT+2, My Account Timezone is GMT+2, My Forum Configuration Timezone is GMT+2, if it is as you insist working, please tell me what I am doing wrong, so that I can fix it.

Listen, I am not trying to aggrevate anyone but I am sick of hearing how it doesn't work and yes I tested it. To prove to all of you that it is functioning as expected:

Forum Settings here on DotNetNuke.com

My Personal Profile Settings Originally on DotNetNuke.com (GMT - 5 Selected)

With GMT - 5 Set (EST) I view this forum.

My Personal Profile Settings adjusted on DotNetNuke.com (GMT 0 Selected Now)

Here is the same forum with the only difference being that i adjusted my timezone to GMT 0

Hi Crispy,

Please don't stone me for this, but that message was posted 4:03 GMT, I agree that the forum time zone stuff works, but even here it's not working perfectly.

Based on the screenshots above, my configuration is correct on my site, I'll attach screenshots if you want I’ve been playing around a bit and noticed that it makes no difference what I set the forums time zone to

I’m guessing that Dotnetnukes server’s time zone happens to be the same as the time zone configured in the forum settings. So the problem is not as obvious as it is on my server.

Changing the forum and user time zones give me completely unpredictable results.
