Thanks Alex - but was this issue not supposed to be fixed in 4.9.4? It's quite worrying if it is still an issue as it means all sites pre DNN 5 will be suffering traffic loss/PR loss etc.

Rodney all focus is on 5.1.1 at the moment .... I think we are near release, however there is a possiblity that there could be some delay due to further testing. Not entirely sure. If there is a 4.9.4 issue I assume we will need some definate facts (see Sebastians post). It's very possible that 5.1.1 could be the release all cautious 4.x DNN'rs have been waiting for. It's looking pretty good... we will all need proof of the pudding though...

Sebastian Leupold wrote   I would set module caching for the most important content temporarily to "0" and observer, how google cache gets updated. Please report your findings.

All content is the most important ;)

I have set the top left Poker League box and the bottom left Footer to have 0 cache time. The site is heavily used so it's not feasible to change everything. I will check the cache daily and see if this content appears.

Alex: For many people upgrading to 5.x is not an option. We can't bully people into upgrading to a new un-tried version by not fixing a MAJOR revenue-affecting bug in the most current stable version. I hope I am mistakened and this is not as serious as I think it is.

More Findings: If you click on What's Happening on the cache view it does actually appear. The Cache on this module is set to 350. The tab next to it (Poker Blogs) has no content. The cache on this is set to 12000. So cached content IS appearing at least in some cases. All other modules are heavily cached (around 12000) and not appearing.

Can some other people on DNN 4.9.4 please check the Google cache for their site and report their findings?

Rodney I entirely understand the situation of course, but right now the official corp line is that no further releases of 4.x will happen unless a really big bug is proven (you might just be on such as issue, we just don't know yet), not being dogmatic - just keeping you in the picture. Situation is no different I think then PokerDIY vs Smart Thinker from your perspetive, the resources are being channelled to where they will have the most effect for the way forward.... nobody is forcing anybody to upgrade and at least there is an upgrade path.

Have you ruled out that it isn't just certain type of modules that are effected? The multi-tabs module you are using seems most effected (i.e. content/modules that seem to be injected? Or maybe it's AJAX rendering?). Ventian News articles seems to work fine, your forums is working fine, feedback forms are working OK, not sure about your text/html modules. It seems to be the issue is with the tabs module you use (not sure if this is the cause or the symptom), at least that is what I'm seeing?

Also have you customized your browsers file in any way other than the 4.9.4 default? Some blogged about solutions I hear on the grapevine that have been posted do not work correctly. Also you might want to impersonate your user agent string using a Firefox-Add In and see what you find.

I don't see any content at all except "Poker leagues" (top left hand corner module) right now.
