How does one upload a skin in DNN 5 that is purchased from the Marketplace? I have tried loading the file down loaded from the market place, Cannot see the skin.

I tried removing the internal zipped files from the download and uploading those. I still cannot see the skins.

I tried one level and zipping the directories within the zip file and uploading those but the skins do not show up,

I have multiple entries in the Admin Extensions form under the skins subtitle but no skins show up on the Admin skins form.

I cannot get any of the many packages of skins I have purchased to work. I am beginning to believe that there is a bug in Version 5.

Am I wrong?

Hi

It might seem like a couple of silly questions, but its important for us to get the basics out the way:

  1. What skin are you trying to get working?
  2. Is it a DNN 5 compatible skin..? (Most important question)
  3. Might seem stupid to ask, but are you running DNN 5, and if so, 5.1..? etc, etc...
  4. Have you read, "DNN 5 Skins and skinning" by Timo?

If you are running DNN5 and have purchase a credible DNN5 Skin, AND you have followed the correct procedures to install it, I would suggest contacting the developers.  This doesn't always prove to be easy, but they should be able to help.

Anyone else..?
