Hi All, I'm creating users in code in a custom module and have not had this problem before - normally the user is created successfully.

Now I'm getting an issue where the CreateUserStatus returns "DuplicateUsername" if the user did exist previously (but has since been deleted).

I've looked in the database in the DNN Users table as well as all of the asp.net membership and user tables and there is no trace of this user existing anywhere. Has anyone had this problem before?

I've also cleared the Portal cache with no luck.

Thanks, Ben

Never mind, the problem was that this was being called from a webservice residing under my DNN site - the DNN Membership provider configuration settings were not being inherited from the parent web.config so a new ASPNETDB.mdf was being created which held its own copy of the user profile.

Ben
