Hi folks

I am trying to Debug DNN but not sure how to go about it - I have a third party module that has source code and I want to change it.  DNN  runs fine on my server Should I try and debug it from the server or is it better to copy it locally and debug it from there using VS 2008 debug features ?

I tried putting all the code on my local machine and debugging from ASP.NET dev server but this does not appear to work - I stuck the path http://localhost:3216/DNNBasic in the Portal Alias but that didnt help.  (Do i need to set it up on IIS on my local machine or am i doing it all wrong ?)

any guidance greatly appreciated

thanks

John

When using the built in web server you need to set the UsePortNumber.

<add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" />
