Hey Everyone,

I am trying to modify the Default .xsl file to show the Title of the RSS feed.  All I did was add the line highlighted below:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
 <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/>
 <xsl:param name="ItemsToShow"/>
 <xsl:param name="ShowItemDetails"/>
 <xsl:param name="ShowItemDate"/>
 <xsl:param name="Locale"/>
 <xsl:template match="rss">
<xsl:value-of select="channel/title"/>
  <xsl:for-each select="channel/item[position()&lt;=$ItemsToShow or $ItemsToShow&lt;1]">
   <p class="DNN_News_ItemLink">
    <a href="{link}" target="_main">
     <xsl:value-of select="title"/>
    </a>
   </p>
   <xsl:if test="$ShowItemDate='true'">
    <p class="DNN_News_ItemDate">
     <xsl:value-of select="pubDate"/>
    </p>
   </xsl:if>
   <xsl:if test="$ShowItemDetails='true'">
    <p class="DNN_News_ItemDetails">
     <xsl:value-of select="description" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    </p>
   </xsl:if>
  </xsl:for-each>
 </xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

I am working with feeds from the following link:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/buildz

Here is a link to an image of what it looks like when I apply the xsl file:

revitinfo.com/httpdocs/Portals/0/Capture.jpg

Notice how my code seems to be pulling the title of the Module?  This is wierd...my code I assume is incorrect?

Does anyone have any suggestions.  What I'm really hoping to do is simply show the Feed/Channel Title, and the Item Title and Date for a few blog entries per feed.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I know only what I have taught myself today about XML/XSLT...

 That is weird!!!

I'm having similar issues with my XSL transforms.

I've successfully used them in the 3.x version of News Feeds (RSS), and just updated....bah!

I also have a simple snippet here that worked in the old version, but now renders nothing:

<a href="{channel/link}" target="_new" class="Head"><xsl:value-of select="channel/title" /></a>

This snippet also worked in the previous version, but only displays the description node, when there IS a content:encoded node:

        <xsl:choose>
         <xsl:when test="content:encoded">
         <xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="content:encoded"/>
         </xsl:when>
         <xsl:otherwise>
         <xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="description"/>
         </xsl:otherwise>
        </xsl:choose>

 My suggestion to you is to ditch the News Feeds module, and use the XML/XSL module.

It respects your XSL files...

News Feed module is a feed aggregator and in order to be able to aggregate, it supports RSS standard only.
