I agree with both Ian and Jeff.

I think Ian's comment on adding warning flags for when an admin or editor has done smth wrong is a very good idea.

I also agree 100% with Jeff regarding content, and preferably using CSS.

However, skills of content editors can vary from place to place... (some times a content editor can be a secretary and although I have great respect for them I bet that CSS would sound like a new fragrance…(hmmm…god idea…). I still believe that some kind of aid within the core system towards accessibility would be a fair point. If not similar to the points I made at the start of this post (i.e. warning messages etc...), definitely some kind of built in accessibility checker...

More ideas are welcome...

Nobody needs to know CSS to add content, the editor, and all third party editors, allow the use of styles within the editor.  The developer configures the CSS, the end user just uses the styles.  And if accessibility is a requirement, then the end user has to know what they are doing.  There are a million checks and balances in your payroll system, but if someone enters the wrong bank routing number or social security number you still are going to have trouble.

Technology can't solve all the woes of the world.

Jeff
