I have the same situation as well.  I upgraded from 4.8 to 5.1.1 then to the current 5.1.4, although in my "version" there's a number three in parentheses:

05.01.04 (3)

Not sure what that's from.

In fact I just looked at a good install of 5.01.01 and see there's an "extensions" option in the drop-down under Admin.  That's not showing up on the website I'm having and issue with.

A resolution to this would be great.  I need to install an updated module to fix a major issue.

Thanks,

Brent

Has anyone figured this out?  I am running into the same exact problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried re-installing many versions of DNN.  Anthing 5.0.1 and up cause this problem.

Thanks!

Lisa

With all my DNN sites my solution was to migrate to SQL 2005 and then upgrade DNN following the recommended path http://www.willstrohl.com/Blog/EntryI....   At first I try to update directly from DNN 4x to 5.1 or 5.2 but each time it failed. This makes me believe that the DNN team is not testing their upgrade with all previous versions of DNN but only the first or second previous version.  Hope this help,  Eric

Hello Eric,

What kind of errors are you getting after upgrade? Going with 2005 server is a right move indeed since most of modern dnn modules don't support mssql 2000. Are you able to debug application?

We were not able to smoothly upgrade to dnn 5.x from 4.x our site www.codingstaff.com as well. There were some errors that our developers were able to get fixed.

Let me know the errors, I might be able to find answers.

Thx
