I finally decided to restore my DNN database to the pre-upgrade state of 4.9.1.  I then re-ran the upgrade, and it went through without errors.  Strange.  All is well now!

William Severance wrote For those not using an objectQualifier, there would be no problem in dropping the FK constraint.

Caution: The above would apply ONLY if your site uses a non-blank objectQualifier. If your objectQualifier is something other than "DNN", use that when renaming the FK constraint.

Will, thanks for the indepth solution - I have just hit this problem on my live upgrade of PokerDIY (test site worked fine) from DNN 4.9.4

My logs are showing the same error BUT I dont use an ObjectQualifier.

In: 05.00.00

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: 'FK_PackageAssemblies_PackageAssemblies' is not a constraint. Could not drop constraint. See previous errors.

ALTER TABLE dbo.Assemblies
    DROP CONSTRAINT FK_PackageAssemblies_PackageAssemblies

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: There is already an object named 'FK_PackageAssemblies_PackageAssemblies' in the database.
Could not create constraint. See previous errors.

Any suggestions? I am trying a roll back and will try to upgrade again (my cloned test site worked fine!)
