I'm sorry if this is repedative but my search came up with posts from 2007.  I have a godaddy account and I am trying to install DNN to the root using their control pannel.  I keep getting error after error and they have told me several times that they won't support me.  I really need some help please.

There have been various articles posted in the past that show "workarounds" to get it working with a root install at GoDaddy, however, they DO NOT support it.

I personally recommend that you select a different hosting provider.  I recommend either 3Essentials or PowerDNN (Affiliate links can be found on my site http://www.mitchelsellers.com, using them is appreciated).

Hello, i am using Godaddy and i have published tutorials for Godaddy & DotNetNuke users.

Note: You can access tutorials after paying a monthly or yearly fee.

Godaddy won't support you, but i can help you get it installed on root path. I can also provide freelance support for your DotNetNuke installation(s).

socoduce,

Did you have success installing on GoDaddy root?  I used the guide at mynetnuke (it is subscriber content, US$9.99)

and it worked the first time I tried an install ( http://www.greatpatches.com ).  The guide needs a little updating for

some trivial points, some images are missing from the guide, and there are some English passages which could

be edited for the average reader.  However, it worked the first time through and probably saved me 4-6 hours of

learning and fiddling around.  The only problem I am having is an unhandled error (error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0 )

when hitting the page sometimes, but it is not consistent, and the DNN app will display after a few minutes.

I do not know the nature of this problem, but haven't googled it yet.    voisGEORGEBUSH22JACKKENNEDY(at)gmail_REMOVE_THE_PRESIDENTS

MarksMan can you check Admin > Event Viewer and post the error code, if you see any that stated with red column?
