I have never had this issue with any release, so it is hard for me to say what your error is.  We are releasing a forums release this week.  I suggest just waiting for it.  Also, you can test the true power of DotNetNuke right now without the forums module.

Not to be negative... but what does "this week" mean?  I've seen enough DNN releases to know that they are "never" when they are advertised they are going to be... then after three weeks of delays... they always come out and say it will be out when its ready.  Good thing its always worth the wait.  Accurate time estimates would help alot though, for those of us that like to plan ahead.  :)

"this week" means this week.  The release will be out sometime this weekend.  We are currently 'dogfooding' a release here as you can see and we found a few more issues we decided needed fixed prior to release.  All those issues are now fixed in development and just need to be verified prior to release.  The latest this will drop is Sunday the 21st. (Of course, if I get hit by a bus this could change things.)
