A user complained that they couldn't get logged in. They asked for a password reminder and the email they received was worhtless. I tried the password reminder process and got an equally worthless email. I need help fixing it. here is a copy of the email that came to me when I requested an email reminder.

Dear Glenn Schworak,

You have requested a Password Reminder from BikerNW.com.

Please login using the following information:

Portal Website Address: bikernw.com
Username: schworak
Password: *******

Sincerely,

Look at that password... Really helpful! No, I didn't mask it off for the sake of this post. It actually came that way right out of DNN. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix that?

*Note: If you did not request a Password Reminder, please disregard this Message.

please make sure to use latest DNN version (4.9.4 or 5.1.1), I remember there had been previous versions with an error like this.

Be aware, that host users cannot retrieve their password for security reasons.

I am running v05.00.01 so you think the error came when I upgraded from 4.9 to 5.0?

I guess I'll look at upgrading to the new verion tonight.

Schworak, out of curiosity I went to http://bikernw.com using Google Chrome and go a pretty stern warning about malware.  You might want to look in to this.  Here is the complete text of the message:

Thanks for the heads up. I checked out the info and it looks like forcast411.com is safe but one of their advertisers or some other third party was questionable. But google doesn't consider forcast411.com to be a site that passes on the malware and there was only one instance in the last 90 days.

I checked bikernw.com and it said zero instances so I am not sure why they flagged me. I'll look into it more. Thanks for the heads up.

Anyway, I downloaded the latest version of DNN and will install it later tonight.
