Hi All,

I'm looking for a Calendar module that will allow me to post events. I have found some, but none of the module I have found allow you to link the event to an external page. For example, I am working with a night club promotions company who has their own website. I simply want to post their events on my calendar and when a user clicks on the event, I want them to be redirected to the night club's website.

Thanks,

Amer

The DNN Events module already does this.
By enabling "Custom Detail Page" while creating an event you will be asked to enter a URL or select a page on your DNN site.

I looked around in the module settings and in the add event settings and I don't see where it allows me to enable "Custom Detail Page." Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Accepted Answer

First select the Module Settings
The last option under General Settings is "Set Event Detail Page Allowed:"   This must be selected.   This is per calendar instance.

Now when you enter a new event the Custom Detail selection will be right under the Description field.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

I added the Events module to my home page, and enabled Custom Detail URLs.  I added an event, and when I set the URL of the Detail Page to an existing page on the site, the link generated gives me a 404 error.  The URL of the link is for LinkClick.aspx?link=58&tabid=40&mid=379.  The tabid is the correct tabid of the page I set for the Detail Page URL.

Does anyone know why this is not working?

Thank you very much,

Andy
