I am working through a new install of 5.1.1 on 2003 server.  I followed instructions to get Active Directory working, which includes commenting in a http module for authentication:

   <add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication"/>
 

Problem is that in the install bin directory there is no such assembly.   I can't figure out if I need to have this or if it is obsolete now?

If I do need it, where can I get it?

AD authentication is now provided as an installable provider, which doesn't require touching web.config manually. 

Install the provider and configure it in Admin :: Extensions.

 That's the first line in the <httpModules> section correct? That's a legacy line that the core hasn't removed from the web.config yet. Sebastian is correct that if you use the installer the correct line will be added and uncommented in your web.config (It should add a line at the end of the <httpModules> section that points to the correct .dll.
