 As for the error.... I'm not sure what to say. If the process that's using the file can be identified then we might be able to get somewhere. I, personally, have never seen an error like it.

As for the long login....are you synching roles? If it's possible can you uncheck that option and see if that speeds things up. In the next release I think we might have that problem beat thanks to Stefan Cullman. I just need time to implement some changes he's suggested and do some further testing but that won't occur until September at the earliest.

Thank u very much for your answer,Mike!

I uncheck synching roles option, and become effective, the time of visiting my web site become was shorten.

But i still have another question, it's that sometimes user can't pass the ActiveDirectory Authentication. At last i read the code of ActiveDirectory_05.00.02,and comment the red part(maybe it's the reason of that General Exception?):

        Private Sub SetDNNReturnToCookie(ByVal Request As HttpRequest, ByVal Response As HttpResponse, ByVal _portalSettings As PortalSettings)
            Try
                'Dim refUrl As String = Request.RawUrl
                'Response.Clear()
                'Response.Cookies("DNNReturnTo" & _portalSettings.PortalId.ToString()).Value = refUrl
                'Response.Cookies("DNNReturnTo" & _portalSettings.PortalId.ToString()).Path = "/"
                'Response.Cookies("DNNReturnTo" & _portalSettings.PortalId.ToString()).Expires = DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(2)

            Catch
            End Try

        End Sub

THat's just a cookie so that shouldn't make a difference. Are the users automatically or manually logging in?

I think the code changing can solve the user's login missing, since i made the change, I had never receieved the complain who can't login the system.

and after i do as your suggest,
