Every computer i use, every user that tries on our website with Events 5.0.2 installed, i get a runtime error when trying to export to desktop event either single or series.  My web host is not sure what is causing this so I am assuming this is a bug.   But I do not know how to determine if that is so.

The error looks like the following:

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Hi Eric,

After 5.0.2 was well into the release process, we discovered a bug in the module to do with iCal support. This is fixed in 5.0.3 - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=10366&PROJID=11 - however I'm not sure that this is your problem.

To be honest we need to see tne error. If you (or your host) follow the instructions shown above, then you should be able to see the error.

Cheers
Roger

OK, I'll investigate over the next few days. ust as a matter of interest, is this Portal 0 (default portal), or a secondary or child portal?

Thanks
Roger

Portal 0 is the default/primary portal.  However this happens on my development/secondary portal as well.
