I've successfully set up DNN 5.1 for our company and would like to integrate AD authentication. I installed the 5.02 version but no matter what I input in the config screen it always comes back with an error.

check out the 2 different error messages based on my inputs.

Maybe someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong. I've tried editing the web.config file under the httpmodules and if I remove the comments in reference to the AD,

the website is inaccessible. If I put the comments back, the website comes up.

Can someone please assist me?

Can you please post your errors and your information in a different way? Posting a copy of your site messes up the display of the forum, and makes your input really hard to read. I've removed that content

Here is the error I'm getting when I put in the information on the AD config page.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.AddADSIPath(String Path, Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry(Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.ADSIProvider.GetNetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationController.NetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've tried with DC=zu dc=local and that doesn't work. I'm just not sure as to exactly what syntax it needs. Some errors will just say it can't find the domain or it doesn't exist. I can ping the domain controller from the DNN box successfully.

It looks like you need to use impersonation in your web.config. A current version of the documentation can be found under AD Betas @ http://dnn.gmss.org
