I just "inherited" a community web site (long story) that's being run on an ancient version of ntelligent's Community Server, which is universally reviled by our users. We're switching to a dedicated server, and we're looking at installing DNN to run the whole shebang, forums included. But we don't want to lose the data in our existing forums.

Is there an easy migration script from older versions of CS (specifically v2004.9.1835) to DNN Forums? Or a simple (e.g. "non-.NET-programming-involved solution") way to get data A into forums B?

Thanks for any pointers or links.

- Kelly

Not to my knowledge. This is sitll when it was the asp.net forums correct? Anyways, it all starts with relating the tables via sql and just writing a script. First, you need the users in your DotNetNuke install then have to match them up w/ the old UserId's in the asp.net one. I don't know the data structure of that app, so this can be a decent amount of work but not impossible.
