There are many circumstances behind how/when people do the upgrades.  DNN 5.1.1, is showing itself as a stable platform, but I know of many people, that for varying reasons have not yet upgraded.

I know I have not upgraded all of my sites yet, but I have many reasons, that are not necessarily due to anythng specific on 5.1.1.

I simply recommend being sure that you have a good backup and giving the upgrade a try.

I have a feeling you won't find 50% have upgraded as far as 4.9.4.  The only way you'll know if DNN 5.1.1 is for you is to test it.

I'm upgrading half my sites to 5.1.1, and will do the other half to 5.1.2 (hopefully) when it comes out.
Don't listen to me though and take Jeffs advice.

I am running 2 recently deployed, new sites on 5.1.1, both started as 5.0.1.  All other sites are still on 4.9.4 - but as others have mentioned above, my reason for not upgrading has nothing to do with stability.  I am already convinced that 5.1.1 is stable.  Take a look in Gemini at the roadmap and the 5.1.2 release list - the type and range of bugs being fixed is well outside the show-stopper category.  I am still concerned about the upgrade, but backups and rollbacks are easy, so the only delay is me - and finding the available hours.  When is the next 3 day weekend?
