Id is already there, just hidden. Please use a calculated column and the expression UserDefinedRowID

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your replay.

I have used UserDefinedRowID but it does not solve the problem, because it does not start from no 1, or if I remove row 9 and 10, id will go from 8 to 11.

Hoping you understand my problem!

This is a great help for me.

One question please....

This allows the list to display the UserDefinedRowID, but it does not display this in the form.(it merely displays the word in normal brackets)... How do I get it to display in the form for a record that exists?

Regards

Dave

Add a new column datatype lookup, use any existing columns as source, and set up [querystring:userdefinedrowid] as expression. Set visible=false. It requires form and List 5.0.1+
