Howdy,

I am moving an old DNN instance (4.0.3) to a new server and am upgrading it as well to 5.1.2. The upgrade process says

Error! (see Upgrade.log for more information)
Error! (see 04.00.04.log for more information)

Error   There was an error generating the XML document.

I can't find these log files anywhere on the remote server. My guess is that some file permission is preventing DNN to writing out those errors and there leads to that third error message? Can someone tell me where I should expect to see those logs, so that I can set the permissions correctly?

Thanks,
Minh T. Nguyen

log files are stored inside /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider folder.

I suggest upgrading in steps, via DNN 4.3.7, 4.5.5, 4.7.0, 4.9.5 and, if needed, 5.1.2.

You may follow my upgrade check list.
