Hi,

I have seen this similar question a number of times, but no real answer. It is possible to jump to an anchor simply by creating a subpage that is configured to jump to the URL + #anchor of that page. Is there a way to set this up in a way which would make the link work on a staging and a live server? A token replace for example, one could link to [Portal: PortalAlias]...., but that does not seem to work.

Regards
Tim

On this Codeplex page: http://dnnskinextensions.codeplex.com/

In the downloads section there is the "DNN Framework Attributes Example Skin"

You could use something like: <a href="http://<%=PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias%>/mylink.htm#footer">My Link</a>

Thank you, Timo. I either do not understand how to use the tokens in the page settings or I did not point out my requirement well. I have a menu with submenu items. When the user clicks on the submenu item, he should get a jump to an anchor of the same page which will be selected by clicking on the parent menu item.

I can get this done by specifying a URL link type to the parent page + anchor in the "Advanced Settings" of the submenu item. Problem is: only absolute URL's are possible and therefore I have to manually change this URL for different servers.

Tim

Ok, then my last post of useless..

I don't think this is possible using the current admin interface.

(without the domainname that is)

The easiest way to do this would be to create a SQL script you run on the second server, that changes the domainname of the page links I guess..

Thank you, Timo. SQL statement is actually a good idea I did not think of.
