Hi i'm getting the same problem and i tried the solution above but no change.

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Must declare the scalar variable "@IsScalarFunction". is showin in all the .log files in the sqldataprovider folder.

i'm using SQL server 2005 and it passes the connection test and if i look in the database a lot of tables have been created so i dont know what the problem is.

I get this same problem and the log file does not exist on the server.

Should this be raised as a fault because DNN is displaying this error message despite there being no log file there.

I still don't know what the cause of this fault is, is there anywhere else that I could get any clues from any other logs?

thanks

Same here.  Same error message, and the log file is not there.  I go through the exact same process with 05.02.00 and it installs fine.  I try 05.02.00 and failure.  I'm running Vista with SQL Server 2005 Express.
