Hi, We recently downloaded forum 04.05.03 and we are having problems with user permissions on our forum.

In the module settings in the permission section, The issue  (as an administrator) is that we want to have the subscribers and registered users Not to have Moderator privledges. We have even used the check X (permission denied) to Edit Module, Forum Admin and Global Moderator.

However, when logged on as an registered user and when it click on the threds it still has the permission to move or delete, move or modulate the thread.

I have also checked under the admin menu under user accounts to ensure that the user doesn't have these priviledges.

Is there anything that I am doing wrong. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Jeff

We just figured out our problem. we had to make the thread from public to private viewing. Trial and error works.

Forum Module need only the Edit Permissions to the users where should admin the Forum Module!  This happens since Forum 4.x.  It is not needed to post in the forum.
