As my deadline gets closer (days away), my ability to problem solve diminishes, so I appreciate any help.

I've been working with DNN for 3 weeks now total -- had never laid eyes on it before -- and am working with version 5.01.02.

How do you change the User pages, such as the Registration page, or the User Profile page?  For now, all I need to do is get those pages to use the portal's current skin, and get rid of the icons.  The skin isn't anything fancy -- basically the default DNN skin with different color scheme.

After googling, I found some instruction for version 3.x which said to create a new page and add the "User Account Module" and any others  I need.  Well, can't find the User Account Module.  Logged in to main host site and don't see it -- thought maybe I hadn't set it to allow the new site to access it.  Is there a difference regards this between version 3.x and 5.x?

I tried searching the forums, but kept getting timeout error.  I've read the manual, but so much to learn in a short time....appreciate the help.

Yes, a LOT has changed from 3.x to 5.x.  However, I did take a peek at an clean install I have for one of my development sites. I am using host-level login, but I also checked this on the Admin and it seems to work there as well.  Create a new page, and then add the "Users and Roles" module from the Modules Dropdown in the control panel. This will populate that page with several modules including the Security roles, User list, and User Account module. You should be able to trim down some of the extraneous modules from here.

I hope that helps. Good Luck!

Yes, this helped!  Thank you for taking the time to respond.

When I did this the first time, I missed the fact that the User Profile or Account module was there, and this is one that I needed.  However, I also need the page that users see when they hit the Registration button.

On both these pages, they are not using formatting from my skin.css file, presumably because they are referencing a style name not in that file.  Shouldn't be too hard to suss that out.  However, on the User Account module, there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of the icons, which are generic DNN icons that don't blend well with the rest of the site.

There seems to be many 3rd party modules that deliver more control over the Registration and User Profile functionality.  My assumption is that the path of least resistance will be to purchase one of those.   Rumblings from my stakeholders seem to involve wanting to do some tricksy things with the registration process, so this may be inevitable.  For example, I need to find out if I can open up (allow viewing of) some content to people who have registered but are not authorized (content not visible anonymously), then open up more content after they are authorized.

Any "lessons learned" or tips regards user registration process and pages will be appreciated.  I'm having trouble using the search function on the forums (keeps timing out), so pointing me to forum links would be helpful.  Thank you!
