Hi,

I would like to have a client-side formView pop-up on a DNN module to add/edit records in a database.  Has anyone done this with the AJAX PopupControlExtender?

I'm using the LinqDataSource as my DAL, so my question is, how do I set up the client/server dialog between the datasource and the formView if the form is in a client-side pop-up panel?  Is this even possible without a lot of tricky coding?

Thanks,

Ed

Here are some hints for you:

  • first of all, Look at your doctype tab, if you are using HTML4, modal popup extender will not work correcly. for more details look into lakhlaniprashant.blogpot.com and find how to deal with modal popups in html4 doc types
  • Please make sure you have added AjaxControlTooljkit in the dependancies in the module, for more details on using ajaxcontroltoolkit in dnn modules visit dnnhelp.adefwebserver.com
    Hope this helps
