 Hi,

I am trying to implement a form on a few pages (contact, feedback) which then sends an email to a specified email address. I used the form and list module to create a form, but then it gave me an error when I pressed the submit button while testing what it does with the data.

Also I dont know how to setup that the form sends the email on submit.

Does anyone has an easy to follow tutorial I could use?

Thanks for your help,
Juliane

Could you post the error message you are getting?

Also, make sure your SMTP settings are setup correctly under Host -> Host Settings - SMTP Server Settings

 Error: form is currently unavailable.

That's the error I am getting if I am logged in as Admin and try to complete the form.

An error has occurred.
Error: form is currently unavailable.

That's the error I am getting if I am not logged in (like any other visitor to the site) and try to complete the form.

I think it has something to do with that I set the type of one of my fields to email, but I dont know how to fix it other than setting it to text.

My second question was, how do I then send this collected data via email to a specified addess? I will have 4 forms across my site on various pages and all should go to different email addresses on completion. SMTP is set up correctly under Host Settings.

Thanks for your help,
Juliane

Is it an error that says "This action has been disabled due to the declaration of hostilities between Antarctica and the Republic of Tuvalu?"  If not, let me know and I'll take another wild stab at what the error might be...

I posted the error messages in my last post, and none state this declation you mentioned. I think it has something to do with the email field. I am having similar problems with setting an email for form notifications. I found a post which mentions that there is a problem with the ValidateEmail function in 5.1.1 and it has been fixed in 5.1.2 so I am upgrading at the moment to see if that fixes this problem.
