Hello,

I have an Events calendar that is made up entirely of recurring dates (it's a club with monthly meetings around the country).  I want to be able to extract  details of any of these meetings that are due to happen in the next week. (Using OWS to format the data ready for an Opt-In email newsletter).

I've had a quick look at sp EventsGetByRange but can't seem to get it to retrieve anything that matches what I'm expecting, can someone point me in the right direction please?  I'm currently using Events 4.0.2, but hope to update to 5.0.2 soon (just need to find the time to test the upgrade!) on DNN4.9.4

Many thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

The problem with the Events module prior to version 5, is that recurring events are derived from information stored ina  couple of fields in the Events record. i.e. there is one Events record for al recurrence of an event. This is why all event details must be the same.

In version 5, we have changed this so that each recurrence of an event has an individual Events table record, making it much easier for folks such as you to get useful data from it. It also allows each instance of an event to have edited individually. There is also a master record linked by RecurMasterID in the EventsRecurMaster table.

Hope this helps
Roger

Thanks Roger, that sounds good.

Looks like I've got to get me a test system together.
