Considering using dnn for a site but need to know if it has the functionality I need. Need to have the ability to provide separate site content for different users. User A should see their own content and not be able to see User B's. Is there core functionality that supports this, or a module that provides this kind of authorization?

Many thanks...

You will be surprise, what DNN can do for you.

YES, you can create different User Groups and assign them  to different  user. You can also assign permissions for each module.

Whilst this is correct it is a solution that does not scale beyond a very few users. The effort to manage it rapidly becomes excessive.

Web sites are about sharing information.  The idea that only user A can see user A's data makes me wonder if a web site is an appropriate solution to the problem.

Depending on exactly what data they need to have, there are most likely modules so users can have individualized data.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone! A little more info, I've got a small number of customers that I want to be able to access the site and based on their login, see personalized information. Again I'm a dnn newbie so don't know the best way to accomplish this.

Thanks again for the help.....
