Hi All,

I installed DNN-Blue and DNN-Gray skins from here.
http://www.codeplex.com/dnnskins
I did not touch them. Just installed them as is.

 The Horizontal menu works perfect. But when I select the Vertical Menu for Portal Skin, I get the following error (same error for blue and gray skins).

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.BuildTree(DNNNode objNode, Boolean blnPODRequest) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

 Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

After fussing with this for a couple days, I could not get the vertical menus to work. Disclosure, i'm a newbie. So there's that.

I tried adding an Object definition for TREEVIEW into the container.xml. Also added the GIFs referenced in the Object to the skin package containers folder. There also appear to be missing TREEVIEW classes defined in the skins.css file. So unless all these are defined somewhere else in the DNN install, it appears that TREEVIEW is not defined in the DNN-Blue skin package.   Still getting the same error message after all the above editing.

So if the above is true, at a minimum, I'd recommend the DNN-Blue skin authors add a Readme file to the package and mention that TREEVIEW for menus is not implemented. And thus the vertical menus in the skin will not work. It would at least save us newbies from wasting time on it.

I didn't know the vertical menu does not work anymore.

The Treeview skin object does not seem to work anymore, I logged this in our bug tracking system.

It's not caused by a missing dll (which is what I initially thought the reason would be)

I changed the text on codeplex, thank you for letting us know and sorry for the time you spent on this.
