Hi All,

I have checked User settings and Roles settings in Host mode - and I'm missing a feature to drive a just logged in user to a certain page on DNN Web site. Does this feature exist in DNN 5.1.x?

Thank you.

Go to the User Management module (the Users icon in the Control Panel, or the User Accounts page under Admin).  Select User Settings from the action menu.  In the bottom section, there's a Redirect After Login setting.

Hope that helps,

Thank you, Brian,

Yes, I see it now - I thought/expected such a feature to be defined on per UserRole basis and even refined on individual LoginUser basis.

OK, if I have several Roles, which all get driven to the same page on Login then I have to assign different visibility to different modules presented on that "after login" page some of which will be shown to one UserRole and other ones to the other UserRoles etc.

BTW, on

Admin->Security Roles->Edit Security Roles

form I see a Role Group combo with just one entry - <Global Roles>

Where those Roles Groups are defined?
What is their main purpose?
Can I define a custom Role Group?

Thank you.

Yes, if you wanted different information displayed to different roles, you would need to control the visibility of modules on the after login page to achieve that.

Role Group's functionality is completely an organizational one.  They exist just to create groups of roles, to make management easier.

There should be an Add New Role Group option in the action menu of the Security Roles module.

Hope that helps,

Thank you, Brian.

If you have a quick answer could you please advise also:

1) is there any way to redirect user to DNN built-in login page (Login.aspx) on logout?

2) In the "Links" mode specify a link directing to DNN built-in login page (Login.aspx)?

Yes, I know I can make my custom page and use a "Account Login" module on it but I wonder am I missing a simple way to reuse DNN built-in login page?

Thank you.
