Hi! I get the message "An error has occurred" when browsing sites after upgrading from version 4-something to the latest. Does anyone know how to enable more detailed errors to be displayed? I get no error in the server application log either (Windows 2003 Server).

Any help appreciated!

I am having the same issue upgrading from 4.8.4.  The install did not show any errors, but the portal is down and just shows the following:

DotNetNuke Error

Error An error has occurred.
An error has occurred.

In the application log of the event viewer I noted the following two entries:

I have the same problem. Here are my steps:

  1. Uploaded DNN 5.1.3 Upgrade over top of current installation.
  2. Reset network service permissions
  3. Navigated to www.carskins.ca/install/install.asx?mode=install
  4. All scripts reported "success"
  5. When I navigate to the website it loads a dotnetnuke page which says "an error has occured"

Any ideas? Should i have set the mode=upgrade in the URL?

Pls help!! thx
