Hi Team,

i want to change the direction of dnn MainMenu to be right-left, i did all i can by making some modifications to the below dnn css files:

default.css (first)
portal.css (the one you are editing) (second) and
skin.css (third)
container.css (fourth)
(in the portal/default folder)

for example,  i added the "direction=rtl;" entry to every css class belong to the Main Menu, but unfortunately, nothing changed...

What am I doing wrong. Could somebody please help me ?

Thanks in advance....

Sam

I haven't worked with rtl previously, but maybe someone with experience will have more specific instruction for you, or try a search in the skinning forum.  My advice is to try something like Firebug for Firefox so you can really see what classes are being applied along with their attributes and what may be interfering with your settings or perhaps you missed a class.  I prefer Firebug with Firefox for delving into a menu css problem, it give better visualisation of hover states that you can't see in IE's Developer Toolbar.  Developer Toolbar or Firebug are essential when working with css and the menu, you won't get anywhere without them...

Only as an educated guess... adding that to the CSS won't work at all.  It would need to be done in the skin object along these lines:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" ID="dnnNAV"  direction="rtl"...

Not sure of the exact way it's done (basing it on what you've posted).

David, I don't see any property like that listed in the DNN 5 skinning documentation, unless it's one of those custom attributes that isn't listed yet in the documentation like rendering as an unordered list.  The documentation is currently a work in progress, not complete, but pretty close...
