Hello,

Same here!!!

It's a brand new install with new database.

After a succesful installation I've set up the HOST account, but at the next step when I was about to set up the Portal Admin account I got the 'server error'
I've set customerrors to off in the web config file, to see what the actual error message is:

Server Error in '/dotnetnuke' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object is a generic error message, which doesn't provide a hint to the real problem.

if you face it during or immediately past the installation, make sure, you have granted full file system permissions to the ASP.Net user (IIS7: user specified for the app pool). try to restart the application (either recycle app pool or edit and save web.config file).

If the error persists, review IIS web site configuration
