I have never been able to install DNN 5.1.x until today. I have my own servers and I offer DNN as part of my hosting packages. Whenever DNN 5.1.x is placed in the folder and given all the permissions, I get errors trying to run the wizard. I have lots of .js errors. I run the server in a modified Medium Trust. I can install DNN 4.9.x and the wizard works like a charm.

I finally elevated the entire server to Full Trust and DNN 5.1.x went through the install just like I would expect. My question is, what has changed that is keeping DNN 5.1.x from installing on a Medium Trust server? I have followed everything I can find and never had an issue with any build of 4.x. Running shared hosting in Full Trust is not good and DNN is one of the most popular packages I sale.

Thanks in advance for the help as this is really becoming an issue not being to auto install DNN 5.

After a little more investigation, I have this banging the event log after a DNN 5.1.x install when the server is in Medium Trust

 5152
 w3wp.exe
 NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
 SqlException
 Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.PurgeEventLog'.

I can repeat this on every install on multiple servers. Moving the Machine to Full Trust will clear this problem.

very strange, execution of  stored procedures should not been blocked by trust level. Are you using latest DNN 5.1.4?

Yes, I have 5.1.4. I have tried with several versions and I get the same results. I gave a copy of the trust I run in to another person and they could not install either. Its clearly a trust issue. I am not sure where it is though. Its getting frustrating. I have not been able to install DNN 5.x on a production server yet.
