I am looking for an auction module. I have done some searching and everything I find is at least $400. I am building a website for our non-profit charity so we need to spend as little as possible and we don’t need allot of features. I am not trying to build another e-bay, I just need a way for people to see what the current highest bid is, be able to bid, and a way for them to up their bid latter if they want. We do not need all of the advanced features of some of the auction modules and really need something low cost.

If anyone knows of a simple and cheap (or free) auction module please let me know. We and the orphans of Ukraine would be very grateful.
Thank you!

You may try CATALook Store front. it is inexpensive, and offers many features, like booking and auction.

Unfortunately you wont find an auction module, let alone a free or cheap one. DNN is not as mature as other CMS's so there is not a lot of variety in modules. No one wants to spend 6 months writing a mod either and making it free (or cheap ;).

You might have to outsource it or look at OWS or XMOD (I don't know if they could do this). The moment you have advanced business logic (like an auction) it becomes a lot trickier to find out-the-box modules.

There's a coupld of gaps in the DNN market and an auction mod is one of them (but if it existed it would cost at least $200 I reckon...)

Thank you.  I was able to use OWS to do this.  The documentation is a little scarce but I was able to piece together enough to make a basic interface that does what I wanted.

Good stuff! If you have a public URL I would love to see OWS in action...
