Can anyone tell me how to disable the printer icon and the minus sign from the pages in my site?

How do you change the drop downs from red to anyother colour once clicked on?

You simply go to the specific module's settings and disable from there. As for the dropdowns I believe you mean the menus, those are customizable through the skin's css. checkout portal/_default/skins
