did you validate, there are no remainders from pageblaster in your web.config file and bin folder?

Yes, I have validated that. But now the issue is solved.

I had the webhost to create a  new webfolder and copied the entire site to the new folder, no other changes made to the site, same database and everything. Now it works like a charm.
