I think it's on about page 6 of the documentation but basically you need to find the line <impersonate="true" /> in the web.config. Uncomment that line only and change it to <impersonate="true" userName="domain\username" password="password" />

I think I got it changed to impersonation. I had to give the user "dnn" (under which everything runs now) write permission to a c:\windows\..net\tempo... something folder.

The Site still works but I can't login with any other account than mds4u\administrator. neither the testacount mds4u\test or my own account work...

Any suggestions?

Shouldn't "cn=mds4u,cn=de" be "dc=mds4u,dc=de" ?

I had that setting...

But now I found the solution:

my password was 6 characters, which was OK for my domain.

DotNetNuke wants 7 character long passwords, so he didn't let me logon.

I changed my password to 7 characters, now I can login...

Glad to find the answer, but:

- An Application cannot overide the security of a central authority: If the domain requires 6 characters, the application cannot demand something else!

- The error Messages are misguiding

Glad to hear you figured out the source of the problem!
