I wanted to use DNN as a project management tool, so in IIS I setup the following:

projects.company.com <- root, no DNN files, just a redirect to main company site.

projects.company.com/client1 <- Virtual Directory pointing to DNN installation. The original location DNN was installed from.

This setup worked great. Configured the site, used it for project management (clients love the tool btw).

Now, I want to setup:

projects.company.com/client2 same as client 1. I created the virtual directory and pointed it at the same set of files /client1 uses. Log into client1 site using host admin, setup the portal settings as new parent, with the alias above (projects.company.com/client2), DNN takes it, no errors, etc.

Anytime I try to access projects.company.com/client2 however, I am immediately redirected to projects.company.com/client1.

I tried a /client3 etc, and I get the same result, no matter what parent portal I setup I am redirected back to the original /client1 portal.

Where should I start looking.
Thanks.

No response in a few days, do I need to provide more information?

I tried another search, and althrough there are similar items, none of those resolutions seem to fit.
