 Hi all,

I'd like to use DNN for Intranet, Extranet and Internet.

The idea is to provide a site for intranet with all common modules in order to display general information for the company. This site (and sub sites by departments) should be based on active Directory.

Then I'd like an extranet for communication with news paper or reporters. It has to be available to limited user with admin validation on the registration.

Finally I’d like to have an internet site available to all user of the net.

Is it possible to set this up on the same server? Should I use a host portal with 3 sub portals (intranet, extranet and internet)?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,

you may have all 3 as separate portals on the same server and on the same DotNetNuke installation.

Like Sebastian said, you can do this. Assuming you are kind-of new to DotNetNuke, I'll try and give you a bit more idea of where to look for than one sentence.

First of all, DotNetNuke is "just" a normal ASP.Net Web Application and not a server product like sharepoint is. This fact alone makes sure you can install any number of DNN instances to your webserver.

Then, one of the great feature of DNN, is that it can be used to host multiple websites on one single instance (installation) of DotNetNuke. These website are working independantly from each other.

So, for your issue, you could use two different approaches for the 3 websites:

- Use one DotNetNuke installation to host 3 websites

- Create 3 DotNetNuke installations

Hope this helps.
